I have always had a passion for medicine since I was a young child. I recall always being interested in my pediatrician’s work and asked many questions. In grade school, I was interested in biological sciences and won our science fair project. In college, I worked as an orderly and there became very involved with patient interactive skills. It was then that I realized I really needed to be involved with patient care. I have remained very active in running and exercise as an adult and this has been my major drive in philosophy of care. Exercise is a critical component to most patient interventions.
